Commemorating World Cancer Day at Duhok Polytechnic University
With the aim of raising awareness about World Cancer Day and promoting knowledge within the academic community, a special workshop was conducted at the Azadi Hall in the campus of Duhok Polytechnic University.
The workshop was attended by Mr. Huger Anwar, Assistant Dean of Technical Institute of Duhok, along with a significant number of faculty members and students. Two scientific seminars were also presented by Dr. Iman Abdulhakim and Dr. Jader Aziz, specialists in the field.
The main topics covered in the workshop included:
Primary Causes: Identifying behaviors and factors that increase susceptibility to cancer.
Types of Cancer: Reviewing different types and understanding their biological characteristics.
Prevention and Treatment: Presenting modern approaches for prevention and treatment strategies.
At the end of the workshop, an open discussion session was held where participants asked questions and shared observations on the topics. This added significant value to the seminar and the overall workshop experience.
