Within the framework of scientific and community service activities, and under the slogan
“Your Health is Your Greatest Wealth”
The Technical College of Health and Medical - Shekhan organized a large health festival in the Qadish residential complex.
The festival was conducted under the direct supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Bizav Naji, Dean of Technical College of Health and Medical - Shekhan, and with the participation and guidance of specialized academic staff including Dr. Blind Bayar, Lect. Vaman Abdulaziz, Lect. Arin Iskandar. The activity was organized in coordination with the General Directorate of Health of Duhok Governorate / Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases Department, as well as the Ararat Technical Institute.
Students from the Public Health Department actively participated in the field activities through:
- Conducting blood sugar tests for citizens.
- Measuring blood pressure.
- Providing awareness on the prevention of chronic diseases.
- Promoting public health awareness regarding healthy lifestyle practices.
It is worth mentioning that such activities constitute an essential part of the students’ annual academic plans, enabling them to apply their theoretical knowledge in practical settings while simultaneously providing free services to the community and local residents. In this regard, the residents of the Qadish complex expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the college staff and students for this significant initiative that contributes to the promotion of public health.
