Duhok Polytechnic University Participates in an International Academic and Cultural Exchange Forum
On Wednesday, 8 July 2026, marking the 250th anniversary of the Independence of the United States of America, the American Corner at Duhok Polytechnic University participated in the 2026 U.S. Exchange Alumni Reunion, which was hosted by University of Duhok under the theme
“From Exchange to Impact.”
The event was attended by academic and diplomatic figures, including the representative of Duhok Polytechnic University, Prof. Dr. Firas Mahmoud Hassan Al-Faqi, a faculty member at the Technical College of Engineering, along with Reving Mazuri, Educational Advisor and representative of the U.S. Consulate General in Erbil, in addition to a large number of faculty members, alumni of U.S. exchange programs, students, and representatives of American organizations.
It is noteworthy that the forum was organized and managed by Hawar Massoud, a student from the Technical College of Engineering at Duhok Polytechnic University. During the high-level panel discussion, emphasis was placed on the transformative impact of educational and diplomatic exchange, as well as the importance of youth leadership in serving society. Several significant topics were also discussed.
At the conclusion of the forum, the floor was opened for discussion on the presented topics, and participants’ comments and recommendations were received with the aim of further strengthening academic and cultural relations.
