With the participation of Asst. Lecturer, Huger Anwar, Assistant Dean of the Institute, and Engineer Karwan Faiq, Health and Safety Officer at the University Presidency, and a number of department heads, professors, administrators, and students of the Technical Institute of Duhok, World AIDS Day was Commemorated on Monday, 1 December 2025, by the Health and Safety Unit of the Technical Institute of Duhok in cooperation with the Directorate of Public Health Prevention in Duhok Governorate, in Azadi Hall as part of a workshop.

During this workshop, three main topics were emphasized: the emergence and spread of this disease, ways of prevention, and protection methods. The session included the participation of Dr. Segvan Hasan, Dr. Rana Jargis, and Dr. Moayed Aghali, where information was presented and discussed, and participants had the opportunity to ask questions, provide suggestions, and share their feedback.
