University President Receives Delegation from Barzani Charity Foundation
For the purpose of coordination and the launching of the National Campaign to Combat Narcotics, Prof. Dr. Ari Adel, President of Duhok Polytechnic University, received a delegation from the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) at the University Presidency. The delegation included Dr. Rawasht Rashid, Psychological Consultant at the BCF, and Ms. Kazheen, Head of the National Campaign’s Duhok branch.
During a session attended by Dr. Muayad Barakat, Vice President of the University for Administrative and Financial Affairs, discussions focused on several key points regarding the initiation of the national campaign. Initial talks addressed the implementation of the "National Campaign to Combat Narcotics" within the campuses of Duhok Polytechnic University. Regarding awareness activities, it was decided to organize a series of seminars, workshops, and scientific events for students, faculty, and staff. Furthermore, emphasis was placed on the distribution of instructional brochures and posters aimed at identifying the psychological, physical, and social harms of narcotics.
On her part, Prof. Dr. Ari Adel, President of the University, expressed the university's full support for the joint campaign's objectives. She reaffirmed that this step aligns with the university’s program to protect the academic community, elevate awareness regarding the dangers of narcotics, and ensure a healthy educational environment across all technical colleges and institutes affiliated with Duhok Polytechnic University.
