Duhok Polytechnic University Hosts Two Lecturers from an Iraqi University to Become Acquainted with the Implementation of the Bologna Process in the Kurdistan Region


Within the framework of strengthening scientific and academic relations among universities, and with the aim of familiarizing two lecturers from an Iraqi university with the mechanisms for implementing the educational system (Bologna Process), on 31/01/2026, the Technical College of Health and Medical Sciences - Shekhan welcomed two lecturers from the College of Nursing at the University of Babylon.

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Bazav Naji, Dean of the Technical College of Health and Medical Sciences - Shekhan , welcomed the lecturers from the University of Babylon and provided all the necessary information, knowledge, and experiential insights related to the Bologna Process, emphasizing the benefits of adopting and implementing this process in Iraqi universities in the future.

On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Alaa Nouri Sarkis, Head of the Nursing Department and head of the visiting delegation, discussed several key aspects of the Bologna Process and stressed that the purpose of the visit of the two lecturers from the University of Babylon to the Kurdistan Region was to become acquainted with the mechanisms of implementing the educational system (Bologna Process). He also pointed out that the Technical College of Health and Medical Sciences in Shekhan is considered one of the leading colleges in implementing this process at the level of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region, and for this reason, the college of Duhok Polytechnic University was selected.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Dean of the College expressed his wishes for success to the visiting delegation in their scientific endeavors and affirmed that the doors of the college remain open to any scientific coordination that contributes to improving the quality of education and learning in Iraq and the Region.
