As part of the activities of the International Week for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ari Adel,President of Duhok Polytechnic University; and under the patronage of Dr. Dawlat Mustafa Suleiman, Dean of the Technical Administrative Institute in Duhok; an academic panel was held under the title:

“Combating Harassment and Preventing Discrimination within Universities”

Organized by the Department of Legal Administration in the Kurdistan Hall.

The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Ari Adel, President of Duhok Polytechnic University; Legal Colonel Walat Sadiq Ibrahim, Director of the Center for Combating Violence Against Women and Families – Duhok; and Dr. Abdullah Jalaladdin, Head of the Scientific Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party; in addition to a number of guests, professors, staff, and students.

Panel Topics:

Topic One: Presented by Prof. Dr. Ismail Abubakr, a specialist in combating violence, covering gender-based violence, preventive measures, and possible solutions.

Topic Two: Presented by Dr. Alin Sardar Zahdi, a trainer in self-awareness and self-healing, highlighting the importance of self-awareness and self-empowerment in confronting cases of violence.

Topic Three: presented by Asst. Lecturer. Baravan Khorshid Etiti in the Department of Legal Administration, discussing policies for combating harassment and preventing discrimination within the university.

Afterwards, Ms. Rizan Muhammad Amin, the workshop director, managed the session and opened the floor for discussion, where several questions were raised by the attendees and answered by the workshop guests.

At the closing of the panel, the administration of Duhok Polytechnic University presented a message of thanks and appreciation to the workshop presenters for their efforts.
