DPU Ranks First Among Universities in the Kurdistan Region in the 3rd Edition of the Arab Ranking
The Association of Arab Universities, through an official letter, congratulated the Presidency of Duhok Polytechnic University on achieving a high position in the Arab University Ranking for the year 2025.
On Monday, December 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM, the new results of this ranking were officially announced.
Evaluation Criteria and Standards: The third edition of this ranking featured the most extensive competition to date, with 285 universities participating from across the Arab countries.
Following an advanced methodology and modern global scientific standards, only 235 universities from 19 Arab states qualified for the ranking. This evaluation was based on four key pillars:
- Teaching and Learning Process.
- Quality of Scientific Research.
- Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
- Societal Impact and International Relations.
In this regard, the Association of Arab Universities addressed a message to the university stating: "The inclusion of Duhok Polytechnic University in the ranked list is clear evidence of the university's continuous commitment to advancing institutional work and achieving Academic Excellence, which directly contributes to raising the standard of higher education in the region."
Finally, the Association of Arab Universities reaffirmed its cooperation and coordination to support Duhok Polytechnic University, with the aim of sustaining joint scientific projects and participating in future editions of the ranking.
