Duhok Polytechnic University representative successfully ended his visit to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in the United States (UL)

Mr Kawar Salih, the DPUs representative for the  IREX research management program, travelled to the US in the past November for an exchange program after the DPU team won a fund from IREX for developing the research management in the institution. The officials warmly welcomed Mr Salih to the UL, and he stayed there for two weeks to work and observe the research management closely in the UL. As one of the R1 groups in the United States, UL delivered several beneficial sessions on research management for Kawar Salih to transfer the experience to DPU. Mr Salih also preliminary discussed with UL representatives signing a Memorandum of Understanding, possibilities of research collaborations and funding opportunities in the future. At the end of the visit thanked UL for the hospitality and the fruitful experience he received from the university. He allso thanked IREX for supporting this project financially and logistically.

It is worthy to mention that our university is the only university from Kurdistan which was able to win the fund with IREX parallel to some other universities in Iraq after the DPUs proposal convinced IREX.
