Career Development Center conducted a workshop
On Wednesday 11th of November 2020, the Career Development Center at Duhok Polytechnic University held a virtual training workshop on (Entrepreneurship) for students and alumni.
The workshop was presented by the guest speaker Dr. Alvin Al-Dawod, lecturer and personal development trainer at the University of Duhok – College of Administration and Economics.
During the workshop, Dr. Alvin explained the essential information about Entrepreneurship, for example (the concept and the importance of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial skills, entrepreneurial process and practical steps to start a new venture). Moreover, during the workshop, participants also engaged in the workshop through discussions, questions and intellectual activities for better understanding and more benefits.
Holding activities on entrepreneurship benefits students and alumni from different academic backgrounds to gain other unique skills and think outside the box. Moreover, entrepreneurship events also provide aspiring entrepreneurs with the skills and knowledge to come up with business ideas and develop their ventures. Also, helps participants to gain skills such as adaptability, effective communication, and leadership.
It’s worth mentioning that the workshop lasted for three and a half hours, and more than 30 people participated. The certificate of participation will be given to participants by the Career Development Center.
