Duhok Polytechnic University Students have been Awarded First Place for the Second Time

Duhok Polytechnic University Students have been Awarded First Place for the Second Time Following the achievement of gaining the first place for the second time in participating in the Global Solutions Sustainability Challenge Program (GSSC), on Monday 13th of February 2023, the Duhok Polytechnic University/ Technical College of Engineering's team have been awarded by the President of the University Prof. Dr Aree Adel.

The program's main objective is to address and work on global issues related to the sustainable goals of the United Nations. Furthermore, to prepare and help participants discover long-term solutions to improve people's lives and reduce the consumption of natural resources. Thus, IREX's Global Solutions Sustainability Challenge (GSSC) connects university teams from Kurdistan, Iraq, Jordan, and the United States to collaborate virtually on a sustainable solution to a contemporary business challenge exploring innovative solutions to the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals that impact their local communities.

It is worth mentioning that the Duhok Polytechnic University team, under Dr Firas Mahmoud Al-Faqi's supervision, obtained the first place for the second time due to their outstanding suggestions and solutions
