Due to the continuous activities between Duhok Polytechnic University and IREX. DPU received a small grant in cooperation with faculty members from the US Borough of Manhattan Community College. The grant is for the Global Solutions Sustainability program to be conducted for a number of students from both sides.
The collaborative online international learning exchange model is being used to foster harmony and understanding through cross-cultural conversations and exchange. It is coupled with problem-based learning and community-based participatory research to offer applied learning opportunities to students, as well as
provide them and their instructors with the tools and skills needed to complete a  cross-disciplinary project featuring the creation of a business plan rooted in the
sustainable development goals of the United Nations.
By providing students with these real world experiences, they are positioned to obtain a better understanding of the workforce, academia, and entrepreneurship, as well as the connection between the three.

The overarching goal of the project is to provide sustainable global solutions to communities based on their needs, as well as their input, toward giving humanity a chance at survival in a world that features enhanced communication, equitable practices, and mindfulness.
The students are required to work on the below problem statement:

As the COVID-19 pandemic spreads across the world, a majority of countries have adopted distance education, which has made learning difficult for students, especially those requiring special attention and/or who have specific necessities.
The program launched with faculty training on August 10, 2021 and the grant amount is USA 1900.
