Local Chicks Production

From Practical activities of second stage students of Animal Resources department at Amedi Technical Institute, students produced and raised local chicks. This activity was done within Poultry Production course with supervision of Lecturer (Saifaden Abdullah) and two academic assistants (Ms Shan Mohammed and Ms Pilan Majid). Students were well trained during the course on providing eggs, eggs selection, preparing hatchery, differentiation between fertile and unfertile eggs after one week by candling, calculating hatching percentages after hatching. In addition, students were also trained on preparing raising hall and chicks inside hall and vaccinating them after one week of rearing.
